“Onward and Upward! To Narnia and the North!” C. S. Lewis wrote that line in The Horse and His Boy (one of my favorite books).
I like to think that my shop might be just a glimpse of just that. A tiny boost onward and upward in this amazing life we live. A little skip and a leap toward a more beautiful world, towards that perfect place that is somewhere other, so much higher than we could ever dream.
I truly hope that the special pieces I bring to this shop will contain a glimmer of that great beauty that lies in wait ahead of us - just over the horizon and just beyond our sight. For though we can’t quite grasp it, the creative side of us is always reaching, stretching upward and onward to reflect the light of that beauty beyond.
I love to wear beautiful clothes. I love spreading that particular magic that seems to transform a house into a home. I love the challenge of creating something from nothing as I shape fabric and color to bring my ideas to life. I love doing what I was created to do!
